Loving him is just like to love the wind. You cannot hold it, cannot keep it.
Don't try to possess him.
Just fly with him.

Transformers - I mean, come on! How fucking cool is it that they made a live action Transformers movie that didn't blow?

Boondock Saints - Yes I know that isn't new but I only just got around to watching it recently, fantastic flick.

Children of Men - Also not a summer movie but an amazing film never the less. Movies don't make me cry, they rarely even come close. But there is a scene in Children of Men that brings me damn near to the breaking point. I honestly have to fight against it. Its not because its sad or anything like that either, its because its...I dunno, beautiful I guess. Anywho, I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who hasn't seen it.

Die Hard 4: Live Free or Die Hard - I honestly wasn't expecting much from this movie. I mean I liked the other Die Hards, but Bruce is getting a bit long in the tooth for this kind of thing. Shawshank Redemption it ain't. A top notch entertaining action flick it is.

300 - Spartans. 'Nuff Said.

Superbad - Fucking hilarious movie. More so, I think, because every scene where one of the main characters is talking with the girl he's lusting after is so damned uncomfortable. I mean they just such fuckin' dweebs. All the parts with 'McLuvin' and the cops are pure gold.

Sunshine - With the same writer, director and main actor as 28 Days Later (another movie I'm fond of from a few years back) this one is a bit odd and may have slipped under the radar for many people. The story is sort of a re-hash (albiet a much improved one) of a terrible movie from the early 90's called Solar Crisis. The sun is dying, a crew is sent out with the mother of all bombs in a last ditch effort to re-kindle the fires and save humanity. The entire cast of the movie is only 10 people and all takes place on-board this ship headed for the sun. Beautifully fillmed and acted, not over bearing with the sci-fi stuff for those who aren't into it, worth checking out.

Hmm, well not all of those were exactly summer flicks and one wasn't even from '07, but oh well. There were a hell of a lot of other decent movies (Cashback, This Is England, Ocean's 13, Surf's Up, Evan Almighty, Blades of Glory, Lucky You, 28 Weeks Later, Severance, Spiderman 3, Disturbia, The Hoax, Hot Fuzz, Fracture, Knocked Up, etc.) but I guess those ones stick out in my mind. Haven't seen Order of the Phoenix or Pirates 3 yet, haven't been able to find a torrent that doesn't look like shit. =/

Ow yeah, Children of men was a good movie too.

Action scenes that make most war movies look stupid.
